A friend and I recently had a great lunch at Louisiana Longhorn Cafe. It was our first time there, but since I previously enjoyed appetizer samples at a Round Rock event I thought the food would be good. We seated ourselves and got menus immediately. Drink orders came soon after. We ordered a fried oyster po boy (which came with fries) and a 2 Taceaux plate (which came with fries and a 2nd side. I chose fried okra.) We finished it off with an order of beignets. The po boy came with 8 nicely-sized (and, importantly, fresh) oysters and a large portion of seasoned shoestring fries. My 2 blackened shrimp tacos were very tasty. The fries tasted good, but weren't at all crispy. The okra tasted good but was lukewarm. The beignets tasted good but were the consistency of a donut rather than being light and airy. The menu is quite extensive, and we had a tough time choosing what to order. I saw a large bowl of gumbo at an adjacent table, and that almost made me choose gumbo for my entrée. The eating area has a kitchsy decor fitting of the food genre. Seating was comfortable and service was excellent. This was a great experience that made me want to return for dinner next time, maybe during happy hour so I can order one of their great appetizers. We will be back before very long.

Stopped here for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. It feels like a Cajun cafe. The staff were really friendly and attentive. The salad I got was delicious!! I was looking at food others had around me and look forward to going back! It all looked delicious!

We were just walking by and were hungry and stopped at the sign with the weekly lunch specials! There was a couple walking out who just ranted and raved about it so it solidified our decision to try it! Can't beat the amazing price! My husband got the Cajun fried pork chop and I got the fried oysters with onion strings! We were not dissapointed one bit. It was exactly what we were looking for. The food was out fast and we are happy to have found this nice comforting restaurant! Definitely will be back !

Val & Julie are AMAZING! We started our day off at Razzoos, which is clearly where we went wrong. We were there for 40 minutes and no food and no app. So we left and came to this hidden gem! We immediately walked in and were greeted, and I warned Val of our previous experience where we just came from and she saw it as let's get this right, but it seemed so natural for her. We ordered boudin egg rolls for our app and it came out right away, hot fresh and tasty! I ordered the chicken tender salad and my husband ordered the stuffed flounder. Food came out timely, fresh and incredibly delicious. But in addition to our delightful food, the service we received was hands down THE BEST EVER. You can't find service like that often so when yo do, reward it. We loved it here so much, we were watching other people's food and asking Val what it was. We had a grand ole time at this gem. We can't wait to come back!

It's a pretty cool looking restaurant on the Main Street of Round Rock. I liked the mirror effect on one side, which makes the place look larger than it is. The interior is full of signs adding to the cool look. There are many options on the menu to choose from, but sticking to my low-carb diet, I ordered the cob salad with grilled chicken. The choices of chicken were also fried and blackened. It was fresh, and the chicken was moist and tender. It was a good salad that I did enjoy. The service is decent and fairly quick. My server came by my table several times to check on me. She was polite and seemed genuinely concerned with the service she provided. The place was clean and had many tables for your dining experience. Parking is limited. So be prepared to walk a little, if needed.
